We are looking for a Strategic Trade Control & ICP Officer to strengthen our compliance capability across DT SBU EMEIA. This is a hands‑on role focused on execution. You will translate export control and sanctions requirements into clear, workable processes and controls that function in daily operations. At the same time, you will ensure our Internal Compliance Programme (ICP) is documented, maintained, and audit‑ready. You will act as a practical partner to the business—firm on compliance, but solution‑oriented in how we enable it.
What You Will Do
- Strategic Trade Control (STC)
- Execute day‑to‑day export control and sanctions checks
- Support classification of products, technologies, and destinations
- Assist with export licences and authorisations
- Conduct customer, end‑use, and red‑flag screenings in line with regulations and corporate policy
- Contribute to awareness and training on trade control obligations
- Internal Compliance Programme (ICP)
- Operate and maintain the ICP in line with corporate standards
- Embed compliance controls into business processes
- Support stakeholders in validating third‑party information (end‑user, application, etc.)
- Work closely with Sales, Engineering, Supply Chain and Finance to integrate compliance into workflows
- Act as a compliance partner, balancing risk awareness with business needs
- Monitor and enforce geographical and product‑related restrictions where relevant
- Documentation & Controls
- Maintain accurate, up‑to‑date ICP and STC documentation
- Ensure traceability and audit‑ready evidence
- Develop and update procedures, work instructions and compliance tools
- Monitoring & Reporting
- Perform control checks and self‑assessments
- Track compliance KPIs and control effectiveness
- Report and elevate risks where needed
What You Bring
- Experience in export control, sanctions compliance or trade compliance
- Good understanding of EU and international frameworks (e.g. EU Dual‑Use Regulation, EU/UN sanctions)
- Strong attention to detail and a structured way of working
- Ability to assess complex situations and take clear, compliant decisions
- A pragmatic mindset—able to find workable solutions without compromising compliance
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work across functions and cultures
- Confidence to take a firm position when needed
- Fluent English
Who You Will Work With
Internally, you will interact with Sales, Engineering, Supply Chain, Finance, Legal, Compliance and DT SBU EMEIA HQ. Externally, you may engage with advisors, auditors and regulatory authorities where required.
