PCBA Supplier Quality Engineer Description

  • Manage all quality-related matters concerning PCB and PCBA suppliers
  • Investigate supplier quality issues, identify root causes and drive effective corrective actions
  • Review and manage supplier 8D reports and corrective action responses
  • Monitor supplier quality performance and drive continuous improvement activities
  • Support the introduction, assessment and qualification of new PCB and PCBA suppliers
  • Conduct or support supplier quality audits

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

  • Experience in a quality, supplier quality or engineering role
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Good communication skills and the confidence to work directly with suppliers and internal departments
  • Good organisational skills with close attention to detail
  • Strong IT skills, particularly Microsoft Excel
  • Experience within PCB, PCBA or electronics manufacturing would be beneficial but is not essential
  • Experience of supplier auditing and quality management systems would be beneficial
  • Experience with structured problem-solving techniques such as 8D, 5 Why or root cause analysis would be beneficial
  • HNC or above in an engineering, electronics or technology discipline would be beneficial
