Sumitomo Heavy Industries, Ltd. (SHI) is a global integrated manufacturer of industrial machinery with a tradition of excellence and innovation that spans over 400 years. Our division “Drive Technologies” (DT) in EMEIA stands for an established global designer, manufacturer, and supplier of drives, custom drive solutions, industrial gearboxes, electrical motors and variable frequency drives.

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Intercompany Business (ICO) Manager to join our Project Business team. As an ICO Manager, you will be responsible for managing and coordinating business activities with other Sumitomo entities worldwide, with a focus on Americas and Asia. You will work closely with internal stakeholders, including sales, marketing, and production teams, to ensure smooth communication and collaboration with our Intercompany partners.

Key Responsibilities
  • Business Development
    • Develop and implement strategies to increase business with ICO partners
    • Identify new business opportunities and negotiate contracts
    • Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to promote Sumitomo's products and services to ICO partners
  • Communication And Coordination
    • Establish and maintain effective communication channels with ICO partners, internal stakeholders, and other Sumitomo entities
    • Coordinate and facilitate meetings, calls, and other communication to ensure alignment and smooth project execution
    • Ensure prompt response to inquiries and requests from ICO partners
  • Project Management
    • Manage and coordinate projects with ICO partners, including contract review, project planning, and execution
    • Monitor project progress, identify potential issues, and implement corrective actions
  • Reporting And Analysis
    • Provide regular reports and updates to management on business performance, sales, and project status
    • Analyze sales and business data to identify trends and areas for improvement
  • Continuous Improvement
    • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to increase efficiency and effectiveness
    • Collaborate with internal teams to develop and implement new business processes and procedures
Requirements
  • Experience in managing intercompany business, international sales, or project management independently
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong analytical and project management skills
  • Proficiency in English

  • Knowledge of the European market and regulatory environment
