Are you an experienced individual with strong Tax Advisory experience and knowledge looking to work for a forward-thinking firm, with a competitive package, flexible working, and being part of a supportive team?
We are looking for a Senior Tax Adviser (Manager level) to join our Tax Advisory team and work alongside a fantastic team and support them in delivering top level service to our portfolio of clients. Our clients at Scrutton Bland vary in size and sector, but the one thing they have in common is that they expect a personalised service in which we are their trusted adviser, a role we are proud to perform with the highest level of integrity and diligence. We get to know our clients, ensuring the advice we give has a long-term view as well as dealing with the matter in hand.
This role would suit an individual who is an experienced Manager, looking to continue their career development, being CTA qualified would be advantageous, but not essential. We have a real passion for people so you can expect full training and support from day one, as well as having the opportunity to pass on your skills and knowledge to junior members of the team who you will line manager, coach, and mentor.

What Will You Do?
- Deliver bespoke tax advice to a wide range of clients covering a full suite of taxes.
- Assist with corporate reorganisations and transactions, optimising the tax strategy of corporate groups and their owners.
- Advise globally mobile individuals coming to and leaving the UK on tax matters.
- Compile reports covering Income Tax, CGT, IHT, SDLT and the various reliefs available.
- Develop content for inclusion in website articles and client newsletters.
- Build effective relationships with your portfolio of clients, ensuring they receive a seamless and excellent service.
- Support and work alongside local solicitors and other professionals, providing advice to them under our SBTax+ initiative.
- Assist with the development of the tax team.
What do I need?
- Prior experience in a tax advisory role
- Be either ATT or CTA qualified
- Have strong time management skills and an ability to meet deadlines through being organised, efficient and ability to prioritise your workload
- Maintain an internal and external network via strong working relationships with colleagues and clients
- Demonstrable experience in managing people, supporting your team’s development and an understanding of how to motivate and support a high performing team
- An understanding of a commercial business and the drivers for success
- A full driving licence and access to independent transport
