RMT, part of the Sumer Group, are seeking an accomplished People Partner who will play a key role in providing high-quality People and Culture services and professional guidance to colleagues and management. Your expertise will support the navigation of employee relations, recruitment, performance management, and organisational change, while fostering a positive, supportive, and high-performing work culture.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide guidance on employee relations, performance management, disciplinary matters, absence management, and policy compliance.
  • Assist with employee engagement initiatives to support colleague engagement.
  • Coach managers in colleague development and performance management.
  • Oversee payroll production, support pay reviews, and complete People and Culture administration tasks, while assisting with People and Culture groups initiatives and acquisitions.

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise

  • Strong HR Expertise: Extensive experience in People and Culture, including strong understanding of UK employment law, people management, and early careers programmes, ideally within professional services.
  • Coaching & Influencing: Ability to coach, challenge, and influence managers, providing professional advice and recommendations on people-related issues.
  • Effective Communication & Relationship Building: Confident communicator with the ability to build strong relationships at all levels and foster a positive, people-centric work environment.
  • Problem-Solving & Decision-Making: Skilled in analysing situations, making informed decisions, and generating practical, risk-based solutions.
  • Organisation & Adaptability: Strong planning and organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks, work under pressure, and adapt to changing environments.
