We are seeking a forward-thinking Private Client Associate Partner to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our Private Client practice. In this influential role, you will spearhead complex tax advisory projects across income tax, capital gains tax, inheritance tax, trusts, and succession planning, while serving as a trusted senior advisor to key clients. You will take the lead in developing and expanding our Private Client service line, strengthening client relationships, and contributing directly to firmwide strategy.

With responsibility for mentoring and developing the next generation of talent, overseeing portfolio financial performance, and supporting the Partner group with strategic initiatives, this is a position that offers both significant impact and long-term career progression.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic leadership of the Private Client team, overseeing a diverse portfolio of high-value personal tax and estate planning clients.
  • Driving tax advisory projects, identifying planning opportunities and leading the delivery of bespoke solutions for clients across income tax, capital gains tax, inheritance tax, trusts, and succession planning.
  • Developing and expanding the Private Client offering, contributing to practice-wide strategy and growth initiatives.
  • Acting as a senior point of contact for key clients, building long-term trusted advisory relationships and ensuring exceptional service delivery.
  • Overseeing complex advisory assignments, including estate planning, lifetime wealth structuring, residence and domicile matters, and cross-border tax considerations.
  • Mentoring and developing senior managers and trainees, supporting team capability building and fostering a culture of excellence.
  • Financial oversight of the portfolio, including budgeting, forecasting, pricing, and profitability management.
  • Contributing to business development, including networking, proposal preparation, and representing the practice in the market.
  • Supporting the Partner group with strategic decisions, team planning, and operational improvements.
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
  • ACA, CTA, or equivalent professional qualification.
  • Significant experience in Private Client Tax at Senior Manager, Director, or equivalent senior advisory level.
  • Deep expertise in personal tax, estate planning, trusts, and high-net-worth advisory work.
  • Proven track record of building and managing strong client relationships at a senior level.
  • Demonstrable experience identifying and delivering tax planning opportunities.
  • Strong leadership capabilities with the ability to mentor, influence, and inspire teams.
  • Excellent commercial awareness with experience contributing to firmwide growth or service line development.
  • A proactive, strategic mindset with the ability to deliver practical, solutions-focused advice.
  • Strong organisational skills and confidence managing complex, multi-faceted assignments.
