Do you enjoy working with people and keeping a busy office running smoothly? Scrutton Bland, part of the Sumer Group, is looking for an Office Administrator to join our Admin team in Ipswich. This is a varied, hands‑on role at the heart of our office, where no two days are the same. If you’re organised and thrive in a fast‑paced environment, we’d love to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day running of the reception area, acting as the first point of contact for clients, visitors, and team members.
- Conduct daily office checks and oversee stock levels of office supplies.
- Coordinate with external suppliers (e.g. cleaning, maintenance, security) and support on-site maintenance visits.
- Handle client‑facing activities, including answering and directing calls, managing meeting room bookings, and welcoming visitors.
- Carry out general administrative duties such as managing incoming and outgoing post, scanning, and filing.
- Support IT with equipment setup and handovers for staff.
- Provide administrative support to the Operations and Project Manager as needed.
- Assist with company events where required.
- Deliver onboarding support for our new joiners to the business.
- Provide office cover at other locations when required (e.g. holiday or sickness cover).
