The Role – Making an Impact

We are looking for a qualified ACCA/ACA professional to join our Media Group within the Business Solutions department. You’ll play a key role in delivering high-quality accounts work for an exciting portfolio of media clients, becoming a trusted adviser to authors, journalists, creatives and other high-profile individuals. This role offers variety, client contact and the opportunity to deepen your sector expertise within one of the firm’s most dynamic teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review limited company and partnership accounts
  • Review VAT returns and ensure accurate, timely submissions
  • Review P11Ds and advise clients on related requirements
  • Communicate directly with clients, building strong, trusted relationships
  • Support with company secretarial tasks
  • Assist with billing and managing WIP
  • Supervise, mentor and train junior members of staff
  • Attend networking events and represent the Media Group externally
  • Collaborate with specialists across the firm, ensuring seamless client service
  • Take on additional ad hoc duties as they arise in line with team needs

We Do The Right Thing - Skills, Knowledge & Expertise

You’ll bring technical strength, strong organisation, and a solution-focused mindset. We’re looking for:

  • ACCA/ACA (or equivalent) qualification with at least four years’ experience in practice
  • Experience with media clients is desirable - but not essential
  • Experience reviewing personal and corporate tax returns, as well as VAT matters.
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to take ownership of your work
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritise under pressure
  • A solid understanding of limited company accounts and the issues affecting small companies
  • Good working knowledge of Xero and QBO
  • Knowledge of PAYE regulations
  • Strong understanding of FRS 102 1A
  • Confident using Microsoft Excel and Word
