Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced Personal Tax Manager to oversee our personal tax compliance function in our Stamford office. This is a key managerial position responsible for overseeing the delivery of personal tax compliance services to a diverse portfolio of clients. You will manage client relationships, review complex tax returns, ensure regulatory compliance, and support the development of junior team members.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a portfolio of personal tax clients, including HNWIs, directors, sole traders and partnerships
  • Act as the main point of contact for client queries
  • Review and sign off self-assessment tax returns
  • Oversee preparation of tax computations for individuals
  • Ensure timely and accurate submission of tax returns in line with HMRC deadlines and handle enquiries and correspondence
  • Maintain up to date knowledge of UK tax legislation
  • Provide technical support on income tax, capital gains tax and inheritance tax
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
  • Ideally CTA qualified or ATT qualified with strong compliance experience within a practice
  • Strong experience in personal tax compliance within a practice and proven experience reviewing complex tax returns
  • Up to date technical knowledge of UK personal tax legislation
  • Experience managing client relationships and leading a team
