We’re looking for a newly qualified Audit Senior to join our team in Cleckheaton. If you’re naturally curious about how businesses operate, and can bring the passion and expertise needed to audit them effectively, this could be the ideal opportunity for you. This is a varied and rewarding role, suited to someone who thrives on building strong client relationships, collaborating within a team, and continually developing their skills, while maintaining a high standard of audit quality. You’ll take the lead on audit assignments on-site, act as a key point of contact for client finance teams, and deliver high-quality outputs to senior colleagues.
The Role
- Being the on-site project lead for a portfolio of audits. You will complete work on higher risk areas of the audit file as well as being responsible for coaching and project managing the on-site team.
- You’ll be the primary on-site liaison for the key client contacts. You will engage with them on project management and ensure expectations and deliverables are effectively managed.
- You’ll be responsible for quality control of the team’s work by providing effective support and challenge as well as reviewing work.
- You’ll support the Audit Manager in engagement economics, including preparation of budgets and tracking against actuals.
- Manage your own time and that of others to meet deadlines and deliver an effective service to clients.
- Opportunity to be involved in strategic projects at office and firm wide level.
- Contribute to business development activities.
- While your base office will be Cleckheaton, you'll also need the flexibility to work with our Leeds team on their clients, as needed.
The Requirements
- ACA/ACCA qualification or equivalent.
- Strong audit experience in Practice.
- Good experience with UK auditing standards.
- The ability to travel to clients as and when needed.
- Confident communicator, able to liaise with clients and colleagues at all levels.
- Leadership & people skills to help develop junior members of the team.
- Strong project management skills.
- Pro-active, with the ability to work on your own initiative to improve internal processes and technical knowledge.
- Excellent IT skills, including experience with accounting software and Microsoft Office packages.
Job Benefits
- The salary range for this role is in the region of £41,700 to £44,000 p/a, depending on experience.

For an exceptional candidate, we may consider someone who is part-qualified for this role, dependent on exam progress and experience. Our salary bandings for part-qualified candidates, at the level we’re looking for, typically start from £35,000 p/a. Our part-qualified annual leave entitlement is 22 days, plus bank holidays and study support.
