Turbo Field Service Engineer - Full Time - Aberdeen, United Kingdom. Sulzer is a global leader in fluid engineering and rotating equipment services, delivering maintenance, repair, and upgrade solutions for turbomachinery across oil & gas, power generation, and industrial sectors. The Turbo Services team focuses on ensuring reliability and longevity of rotating equipment on client sites worldwide.
Location: Flexible – Can be based anywhere in the UK
Travel: Domestic and international travel, both onshore and offshore
Key Responsibilities
- Install, remove, repair, commission, and maintain rotating equipment onshore and offshore.
- Dismantle, inspect, and report on equipment condition using standard field service documentation.
- Compile detailed inspection and commissioning reports, liaising with internal teams and clients.
- Reassemble and test equipment following engineering best practices and OEM standards.
- Ensure compliance with client and company safety procedures at all times.
- Provide professional client interaction to minimize downtime and maintain strong relationships.
What We’re Looking For (Qualifications)
- Time-served mechanical engineer with proven practical experience in maintaining and overhauling rotating equipment, particularly turbomachinery such as steam turbines and compressors.
- Offshore and onshore experience, preferably within the oil & gas or power generation sectors.
- Flexibility and willingness to travel, both domestically and internationally, including offshore assignments.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in challenging environments.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to troubleshooting and delivering solutions under pressure.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to liaise effectively with clients and internal teams.
