At our Pumps, Parts & Retrofit (PPR) division in Leeds, we are seeking a proactive and commercially astute Buyer / Expeditor to manage the procurement and timely delivery of components and services across complex projects.
Your Role
As a Buyer / Expeditor, you’ll be at the heart of our operations—working cross-functionally to ensure products and services are purchased on time, within budget, and to the required specification. From negotiating supplier agreements to tracking delivery progress, your work will have a direct impact on project performance, supplier relationships, and operational success.
Your Main Tasks And Responsibilities
- Managing the full procurement cycle—from requisition to delivery
- Working closely with suppliers to secure timelines, pricing, and performance
- Keeping our SAP system accurate with live delivery data
- Driving supplier development and performance reviews
- Playing a key role in continuous improvement and cost recovery initiatives
To Succeed In This Role, You Will Need
- Proven experience in a purchasing or supply chain role (engineering/manufacturing environment preferred)
- Strong commercial acumen with solid negotiation and relationship-building skills
- Confident communicator who can work cross-functionally with internal and external stakeholders
- Detail-focused, organised, and proactive in resolving delivery or quality issues
