Your main tasks and responsibilities:

  • Carry out dimensional inspection of raw and machined components at various stages of manufacture, ensuring compliance with drawings and tolerances.
  • Perform non-destructive testing (NDT) methods as per your training and qualifications.
  • Sign off operations and tasks during inspection, raising non-conformances into SAP as required.
  • Provide feedback and rework instructions to supervisors and teams to address quality issues.
  • Adhere to inspection test plans (ITPs), producing and maintaining all relevant certification and documentation.
  • Comply with risk assessments, safety procedures and use of PPE; report unsafe acts or conditions as appropriate.
  • Support and engage in initiatives that promote safety, quality, environmental protection, continual improvement and 5S.
  • Collaborate with teams across the business to ensure on-time delivery (OTD).

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Excellent communication, organisational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently, adapt to change, and maintain high attention to detail.
  • HNC or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering or relevant industry experience.
  • Knowledge of industry standards, health and safety requirements and inspection practices.
  • Proficiency with measuring equipment, SAP, and general PC skills (Excel, Word, email).
  • NDT method experience and qualifications (advantageous).
