About the role

We are looking for a QC Inspector to join our GT Aero team in Aberdeen. Are you detail-focused and passionate about engineering quality? Join our expert GT Aero team in Aberdeen, where you’ll play a crucial role in ensuring the integrity and compliance of our gas turbine overhaul and inspection operations. Job Responsibilities:

  • Perform bulk and detail strip inspections of gas turbines and provide comprehensive defect reports.
  • Carry out stage inspections during engine builds to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Maintain and control workshop Control Order Files and associated documentation.
  • Ensure all measuring equipment is calibrated, certified, and aligned with Quality Management System requirements.
  • Assist with shipping and receipt of materials to and from approved vendors, expediting sub-con activities efficiently.

Job Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a similar inspection or mechanical quality role, ideally within a gas turbine environment.
  • Proven ability to understand and interpret engineering drawings and illustrated parts catalogues.
  • Working knowledge of industrial or power gas turbines and associated components.
  • A minimum of NC in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent; HNC is preferred (or suitable proven experience in lieu of formal qualifications).
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to work collaboratively with workshop and quality teams.
