Our revamped facility now expertly handles the overhaul of electric motors, pumps, gearboxes, and turbo-compressors, supporting key sectors such as Oil & Gas, Power Generation, and Renewables.
We\’re on the lookout for a talented Electro Mechanical Technician to join us at Ellon. If you\’re passionate about electrical and mechanical engineering and ready to take on a variety of electromechanical equipment, this role is for you. You\’ll play a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing our equipment, helping us maintain our high standards of service and performance.
Your main tasks and responsibilities:

  • Work on a range of tasks including disassembling, assembling, installing, removing, inspecting, replacing parts, measuring, and testing various motors, generators, and other equipment.
  • Travel to client sites to carry out electromechanical maintenance, inspections, and repairs on motors and generators.
  • Lead and organise work for site teams, or work as part of a larger team on various projects.
  • Handle complex equipment challenges and provide expert solutions.
  • Keep detailed and accurate job paperwork and reports, while ensuring all work meets safety and quality standards.

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A solid background in electrical and mechanical engineering, especially with electrical rotating and static equipment, and hands-on experience with motors, generators, and transformers.
  • Experience in dismantling, rewinding, assembling, and testing LV/HV rotating equipment in sectors like power, hydro, and oil & gas.
  • Skills in mechanical fitting, fault-finding (including root cause analysis), laser alignment, and vibration analysis.
