As an Area Sales Engineer, you will play a crucial role in driving our success across the Midlands. You will be the face of Sulzer to your customers supporting solutions, driving growth and promoting face-to-face relationship building.
Your main tasks and responsibilities will include:
- Develop and maintain strong connections with both existing and potential clients. Understand their unique challenges and collaborate to create bespoke solutions that meet their needs.
- Carry out in-depth research within your region to uncover new sales leads, particularly for electric rotating machinery maintenance, including generators, motors, and transformers. Provide insightful market feedback to continuously enhance Sulzer's offerings.
- Offer support and guidance to customers, showcasing Sulzer's innovative products and services to address complex engineering problems.
- Pursue new business opportunities to drive revenue growth.
What You'll Need to Succeed
- A proven track record in technical sales with a deep understanding of the sales process.
- Extensive knowledge of rotating machinery, including pumps, gearboxes, compressors, motors, generators, transformers etc.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, capable of conveying technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- A self-motivated, results-driven approach with a proactive problem-solving mindset.
- Residence within the Central Midlands is preferred. Ideal locations include West Midlands, East Midlands - Derbyshire, Leicestershire, Northamptonshire, Nottinghamshire, Rutland and nearby areas.
- A Full UK Driver's Licence and willingness to travel within your assigned area.
