The Silver Robin restaurant is at the heart of Sullivan Upper School, serving over 550 meals daily to enthusiastic pupils and staff. We take pride in offering nutritious, balanced, and high-quality meals, ensuring a welcoming and efficient service. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining and improving our well-loved catering service.
The Role
As our Unit Catering Supervisor, you will be responsible for leading a team of up to 15 staff and ensuring the efficient daily operation of our catering service. You’ll oversee everything from meal preparation to hygiene and safety standards, ensuring an exceptional experience for our students and staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily operations of the Silver Robin restaurant
- Plan and prepare high-quality meals with portion control in mind
- Manage special dietary requirements and balanced nutritional menus
- Ensure compliance with hygiene and health & safety regulations
- Supervise and motivate a team of up to 15 catering staff
- Organise and monitor food service points and meal transportation
- Handle budgeting, menu planning, and cost control
- Promote the school’s catering service and increase meal uptake
- Maintain cleanliness and security within the unit
- Deputise for the Catering Manager when required

- Catering Qualification (NVQ Level 2/City & Guilds)
