What you’ll own

  • End-to-end contract lifecycle management — from drafting and negotiation through to audit and renewal
  • IR35 compliance, including SDS issuance, working practice reviews and HMRC intermediary reporting
  • GDPR and data protection — acting as DPO, managing DPIAs, data subject rights and breach reporting
  • Regulatory oversight across FCA conduct rules, Bribery Act, Modern Slavery and public procurement frameworks (CCS and equivalents)
  • Associate and supplier compliance onboarding, vetting and ongoing audit
  • Quality assurance framework — internal audits, root cause analysis and accreditation maintenance
  • Legal triage and management of external solicitor relationships across commercial, employment and regulatory practice areas
  • Day-to-day oversight of the offshore Compliance Manager

What we are looking for

  • 7–10+ years in compliance, risk, governance or contract management ideally in professional services or a consulting environment
  • Strong, hands-on knowledge of IR35, GDPR and the UK regulatory landscape for associate-led businesses
  • Experience reviewing and negotiating commercial contracts, identifying risk and advising senior leaders with confidence
  • Comfortable working independently and at pace as this role suits someone who hits the ground running
  • Practical, pragmatic and commercially aware: you know when to hold the line and when to find a workable solution
  • Experience with public sector procurement frameworks is a plus, not a must
