We're excited to be recruiting for an aspirational and growing Financial Services organisation in Sunderland who are looking to add two newly created roles into their L&D team as L&D Business Partners. As L&D Business Partner, you will oversee the day-to-day activity of the internal Academy, alongside the delivery of learning programmes within a multi-disciplinary environment. The role focuses on facilitating high-quality training and providing practical coaching to develop leadership capability and core soft skills across the organisation.
Reporting to a fantastic leader, through the Academy the roles deliver targeted leadership development, enabling leaders to inspire, motivate, and manage teams effectively while demonstrating strong interpersonal and communication skills. A key priority is coaching client-facing staff to strengthen relationship management, active listening, and client experience delivery. Through focused training and coaching, the Learning & Development Manager ensures employees can engage with clients confidently and professionally, building trust and long-term partnerships.
Skills and Qualifications
- Experience in designing and delivering integrated training programmes
- Strong facilitation, coaching, and stakeholder management skills
- Relevant professional qualification in Learning & Development, training or organisational development (e.g. CIPD or equivalent)
- Experience delivering learning programmes within financial services in a regulated environment
- Diploma or Regulated Diploma in Financial Planning (or equivalent recognised qualification)
- Experience in blended and digital learning design
- Experience supporting capability frameworks or professional pathways
In return this role offers a salary of up to £50k per annum along with some super benefits which include a Company pension scheme, Death in service, 25 days annual leave (option to purchase additional holidays) and Enhanced family friendly policies. Please note this role requires onsite presence Monday to Friday at their beautiful offices in Sunderland although they do operate a 25 day WFH/25 day Work Anywhere policy allowing some occasional flexibility.
