Sullivan Brown is delighted to be partnering with a large, well-established infrastructure organisation to support the appointment of a Reward Consultant into a high-impact, business-critical role on a 6 month FTC. Operating across a diverse portfolio including water, energy, transport and telecommunications, our client delivers essential services at scale. With a strong focus on continuous improvement, they are committed to not only maintaining but also renewing and reimagining how infrastructure services are delivered - creating an environment where people can develop, contribute and thrive.

This is a key role within the organisation, responsible for leading the design and delivery of a consistent, group-wide job architecture and grading framework across multiple business divisions. You will play a pivotal role in shaping how roles are structured, evaluated and rewarded - ensuring clarity, consistency and fairness across a complex, multi-divisional environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development of a group-wide job architecture, utilising a formal points-based methodology (e.g. Mercer)
  • Design and implement a standardised grading framework to support alignment of terms and conditions
  • Partner with senior stakeholders across the organisation to drive engagement, provide updates and facilitate calibration sessions
  • Provide expert reward guidance, influencing and constructively challenging decision-making at senior level
  • Ensure frameworks are robust, equitable and aligned with organisational priorities and regulatory requirements
  • Deliver a sustainable and defensible reward structure that creates long-term value beyond the duration of the assignment
About You

You will be an experienced reward professional with a strong track record of delivering complex job architecture and grading frameworks within large, multi-layered organisations. You will bring:

  • Extensive experience designing and implementing job evaluation and grading structures end-to-end
  • Strong knowledge of recognised job evaluation methodologies (Mercer experience highly advantageous)
  • A solid understanding of pay equity, equal pay and reward-related legislation
  • The ability to operate effectively in complex environments, balancing consistency with business-specific needs
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the credibility to influence at senior level
  • Excellent analytical capability, with the ability to translate data and methodology into practical solutions
  • A delivery-focused approach, with the ability to manage ambiguity and drive outcomes within defined timeframes
