We are delighted to partner with Lancashire County Council to recruit their Interim Change People Partner. This is a two-year contract. Lancashire County Council stands as the fourth largest local authority in England, covering a vast geographic area and a diverse range of communities, both urban and rural. As a county council, their remit is substantial, varied, and complex, but their purpose is simple: they exist to serve the people of Lancashire by working as efficiently and innovatively as possible to deliver four corporate priorities: delivering better services, protecting our environment, supporting economic growth, and caring for the vulnerable.

This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive Change People Partner to join a progressive organisation. Reporting to the Head of People Strategy, this role works closely with senior leaders, managers, and employees to execute change strategies. This position plays a pivotal role in driving and managing the full spectrum of change management activities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Partnering with an Executive Director and their Leadership teams, diagnose and design the right approach to change for the client group.
  • Deliver comprehensive people-centric change approaches that address people aspects of organisational change, with a focus on the psychological side of change that will drive engagement and adoption.
  • Identify, plan for, and mitigate risks within change programmes promoting a culture of continuous improvement and engagement with organisational change.
  • Agility and adaptability will be key – this is a large organisation with a lot of dependencies and your approach to shifting priorities will be very much needed.
Qualifications and Experience:

To be considered, candidates should be strategic thinkers with experience of leading and delivering on people-centric change management within a complex organisation. Experience of engaging and influencing senior stakeholders is essential alongside strong communication skills, a clear understanding of the project’s objectives, and a focused vision on the desired outcomes.
