The Vacancy
Are you a highly motivated registered Endoscopy Practitioner with the drive, ambition and commitment to deliver the highest standards of patient care? Sulis Hospital, a leading healthcare provider in Somerset, has an amazing opportunity for you to join our JAG accredited endoscopy team as lead and work in partnership with our Clinical Lead, Medical Director and CDC operational lead.
We are looking for a highly motivated and passionate individual to provide strong visible leadership to deliver the highest standards of professional care to patients and to make a positive contribution towards the team’s pursuit of excellence. You will be a strong role model, leading and coordinating the endoscopy service and decontamination.
We undertake diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy investigations such as Colonoscopy, Gastroscopy, Polypectomy, Cystoscopy and TOE, and starting a new initiative Colon Capsules. You will be responsible and accountable for the daily management of the endo and decontamination suite, managing a wide range of complex and conflicting priorities, including staff management.
You will ensure the JAG accreditation standards are met, British Society of Gastroenterology (BSG) guidance, and the National and Local decontamination guidance is followed. You will perform the tasks of preassessment and endoscopy assistant during procedures (sedation and GA), when required, in collaboration with other members of the multidisciplinary team.
You will be responsible for the professional development of the endoscopy team and overall work performance.
Full Time- 37.5 hours; Permanent; Salary Competitive dependent on experience; This role requires DBS clearance. Applications will be assessed and responded to as they are received. We reserve the right to bring forward the closing date if sufficient applications are received.
