Set, monitor and maintain excellent standards of nursing care working within company policies and procedures. Provide technical assistance during diagnostic and therapeutic Endoscopic procedures, ensuring safe working practice. Ensure a friendly environment, maintaining personal contact with patients and relatives, being sensitive to their needs for courtesy, dignity and privacy. Maintain timely and accurate patient records and ensuring confidentiality. Store, check and administer drugs in accordance with established standards and guidelines. Work with minimal supervision during endoscopic procedures, admission and recovery of patients and other related procedures. Contribute to the local resolution, investigation and follow up action of any informal or formal complaints. Participate in the care and maintenance of endoscopes and other specialised equipment, ensuring agreed standard of decontamination including accurate records of traceability of all endoscopes and associated equipment. Ensure the safe discharge of all patients from the Endoscopy unit. Maintain a safe and clean environment within the clinical area. Triage and Pre-Assess Patients against specific criteria to ensure suitable for the procedure.
