We’re looking for a motivated, solution-focused Systems and Controls Accountant to join our dynamic central finance function. You’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, strengthening internal controls, and uncovering insights that drive smarter business decisions. This is more than just month‑end – it’s your chance to shape processes and influence change.
What You Will Do
- Run revenue recognition system processes, prepare reporting and analytics, liaise with relevant teams to investigate and resolve balances.
- Manage system administration (chart of accounts, subsidiaries and other master data/set up as required).
- Support in documentation of finance manuals and related policies/procedures.
- Continuously assess processes, ensure effective use of system capabilities, identify enhancements/automations and process improvements.
- Document and deliver risk & control matrices across all key financial processes.
- Drive system access reviews, design processes for ongoing monitoring.
- Independent review and input to reconciliation processes and other operating controls, ensure control issues addressed.
- Support in resolution of audit issues/control points, and support in delivery of audit evidence.
- Coordinate on acquisition integration across key areas.
Qualifications and Experience
- Fully qualified (ACA/ACCA/CA).
- Experience in a controls role (internal audit or other controls design and/or testing capacity).
- Experience in a systems role.
- Proven expertise in financial risks and controls, or internal audit.
- Strong analytical thinking with the ability to interpret and present data clearly.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining high standards.
- Experience with financial systems Salesforce and NetSuite (bonus).
Hybrid role: 3 days based from our Head Office, Birmingham City Centre – Mailbox.
