Qualifications
- Education: Secondary (high school) graduation certificate
- Experience: Experience is an asset. Experience with toddlers to pre‐school aged children (1‐3 years)
- Child welfare check, criminal record check, medical exam, reference required
- Must be a permanent resident of Canada or a temporary resident with a valid work permit. Do not apply if you are not authorized to work in Canada.
Responsibilities
- Assume full responsibility for the household in the absence of parents.
- Travel with family on trips and assist with child supervision and housekeeping duties.
- Bathe, dress and feed infants and children.
- Discipline children according to the methods requested by the parents.
- Instruct children in personal hygiene and social development.
- Maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home.
- Organize activities such as games and outings for children.
- Supervise and care for children.
- Take children to and from school and appointments.
- Tend to the emotional well‐being of children.
