Qualifications
  • Education: Secondary (high school) graduation certificate
  • Experience: Experience is an asset. Experience with toddlers to pre‑school aged children (1‑3 years)
  • Child welfare check, criminal record check, medical exam, reference required
  • Must be a permanent resident of Canada or a temporary resident with a valid work permit. Do not apply if you are not authorized to work in Canada.
Responsibilities
  • Assume full responsibility for the household in the absence of parents.
  • Travel with family on trips and assist with child supervision and housekeeping duties.
  • Bathe, dress and feed infants and children.
  • Discipline children according to the methods requested by the parents.
  • Instruct children in personal hygiene and social development.
  • Maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home.
  • Organize activities such as games and outings for children.
  • Supervise and care for children.
  • Take children to and from school and appointments.
  • Tend to the emotional well‑being of children.
