As a Platform Engineer, you will be part of the Platform team to build, enhance, and support the infrastructure and tooling that underpins our modern cloud-native services. This role is an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a fast-moving fintech environment, focusing on AWS, infrastructure as code, and event-driven architecture.
You’ll work closely with engineers across multiple squads to ensure our platform is scalable, secure, and designed for rapid deployment and operational excellence. You’ll contribute to the development and automation of cloud infrastructure, observability systems, CI/CD pipelines, and event-based services that power key parts of our product ecosystem.
What you’ll be doing:
- Supporting the development, deployment, and monitoring of AWS-based infrastructure using Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform)
- Participating in the design and implementation of event-driven services using serverless, container and event streaming technologies
- Helping to maintain and improve our CI/CD pipelines (e.g. GitHub Actions) to enable rapid and reliable delivery of services
- Contributing to the design of scalable and secure platform components that enable developer productivity
- Building and improving observability tooling (e.g. CloudWatch, Grafana) to support rapid detection and resolution of issues
- Collaborating with developers and stakeholders across squads to understand infrastructure needs and ensure best practices are applied
- Writing technical documentation and contributing to our knowledge base as you learn and grow
What you’ll bring to Suits Me:
- An understanding of AWS fundamentals and enthusiasm for cloud-native architectures
- Exposure to or interest in Infrastructure-as-Code tools (e.g. Terraform, AWS CDK, CloudFormation)
- Interest in event-based, serverless and/or container computing
- Basic scripting skills (e.g. Python, Bash) for automation and tooling
- Familiarity with CI/CD concepts and tools (e.g. GitHub Actions, Jenkins)
- A willingness to learn, experiment, and iterate in a collaborative environment
- Attention to detail and a mindset focused on automation and continuous improvement
