Our client is a reputable property maintenance company based in Central London. They are seeking an experienced Painter and Decorator to join their team supporting their flagship contracts. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with previous experience in the maintenance and construction industry.
As a Painter and Decorator, you will be responsible for preparing surfaces and applying paint, varnish, wallpaper, and other finishes to both interior and exterior surfaces of buildings, fixtures, and structures. You will have the opportunity to gain further skills in training and assist other trades, further enhancing your expertise and career development.
Duties will include but not limited to:
- Painting and decorating works
- Preparation of surfaces
- Material Selection
- Installation of carpet tiles
- Installation of stair nosings
- Assisting other trades and gaining skill training
- Procurement of materials and equipment to carry out works
- Completion of work sheets via our mobile app
This is a mobile role.
Required qualifications and experience:
- A hardworking, reliable work ethic, flexible as overtime and out of hours works may be required depending on client or job requirements.
- Previous experience in maintenance and building environments, ideally within commercial or residential sectors.
- A HSE understanding
- Full UK Driver’s License (not essential)
- Previous use of handheld technology / smartphone
- Take pride in doing everything you do to the highest standard
- A good communicator, who understands the importance of customer service.
- City and Guilds qualifications or equivalent
- Minimum 5 years of experience in the building industry
Job type: Permanent and Full Time
Salary: £34,000 - £37,000 per annum (PAYE)
