My client is a reputable and leading FM organisation, with over twenty-five years of experience in the maintenance industry. With a head office in Central London, many of the properties and premises they service are in a short walking distance of the office.

They are looking for a Lead Engineer to join the M&E Division of their Property Services Department, providing a multi-skilled maintenance service, and to supervise and lead a team of engineers and contractors.

Duties will include but not limited to:

  1. Supervise and lead a team of engineers and contractors, ensuring efficient operation and maintenance of building systems.
  2. Perform planned preventive maintenance (PPMs) and reactive maintenance tasks.
  3. Oversee and manage electrical & mechanical systems, ensuring optimal performance and compliance with regulations.
  4. Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical faults efficiently.
  5. Always maintain a high standard of safety and compliance.
  6. Collaborate with team members, contractors, and management to ensure smooth operation of facilities.
  7. Review RAMs, estimate, and order materials.

Required qualifications and experience:

  1. Experience within a Maintenance / Facilities Management environment.
  2. Knowledge of Health & Safety.
  3. Capability to perform manual tasks, including manual handling, working at heights, and in confined spaces.
  4. General maintenance including basic plumbing, carpentry, and electrical works.
  5. Previous experience with Mechanical & Electrical servicing & maintenance.
  6. Good customer service skills.
  7. City & Guilds certificate in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering discipline.
  8. Previous use of handheld technology and email.
