My client is a reputable and leading FM organisation, with over twenty-five years of experience in the maintenance industry. With a head office in Central London, many of the properties and premises they service are in a short walking distance of the office.
They are looking for a Lead Engineer to join the M&E Division of their Property Services Department, providing a multi-skilled maintenance service, and to supervise and lead a team of engineers and contractors.
Duties will include but not limited to:
- Supervise and lead a team of engineers and contractors, ensuring efficient operation and maintenance of building systems.
- Perform planned preventive maintenance (PPMs) and reactive maintenance tasks.
- Oversee and manage electrical & mechanical systems, ensuring optimal performance and compliance with regulations.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical faults efficiently.
- Always maintain a high standard of safety and compliance.
- Collaborate with team members, contractors, and management to ensure smooth operation of facilities.
- Review RAMs, estimate, and order materials.
Required qualifications and experience:
- Experience within a Maintenance / Facilities Management environment.
- Knowledge of Health & Safety.
- Capability to perform manual tasks, including manual handling, working at heights, and in confined spaces.
- General maintenance including basic plumbing, carpentry, and electrical works.
- Previous experience with Mechanical & Electrical servicing & maintenance.
- Good customer service skills.
- City & Guilds certificate in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering discipline.
- Previous use of handheld technology and email.
