Our client is reputable and established Consultancy firm, offering Cost Management, Planning and Programming, Contract Administration, Health and Safety, and CDM services. Their Safety division offers a range of health and safety services which help meet the needs of their ever-increasing client base, from principal designer services and CDM support services through to a comprehensive health and safety consultancy, and training services tailored to each client’s particular needs. They are looking for a NEBOSH Construction qualified H&S advisor, with some knowledge working with Tier 1 clients. This role would suit someone wanting to develop their career, with a keen interest in learning Principal Designer responsibilities. Responsibilities: * Carrying out site inspections during the construction phase to monitor compliance. * Conduct site H&S audits and inspection * Undertake accident or other special investigations to assist the client as required. * Provide health and safety advice, guidance, training and support. * Collating and delivering the Health and Safety File at completion of the project. * Representing the company in a professional and diligent manner; meeting, negotiating and corresponding with clients to form strong working relationships. * Undertaking site H&S inspections and report writing. * Discussing issues raised and proactively seeking solutions and advice to help clients with compliance. * Assist with the writing of risk assessments and safe systems of work for clients. * Assist with client annual memberships to recognized SSIP schemes. * Help maintain internal compliance to health and safety requirements and embed a culture of "safety first" * Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to build excellent working relationships Qualifications/Experience: * Minimum 2 – 3 years’ post-qualification experience in the construction industry * Hold the NEBOSH General & Construction Certificate and be working towards the NCRQ / NEBOSH Diploma Level 6 (if preferable). * Be a Technical Member of IOSH with proven CPD record. * A good understanding of Health and Safety Legislation and CDM 2015 * On site H&S inspection experience advantageous * Proficient in the use of IT including Microsoft software, especially Microsoft Word and Excel. * Hold a valid, clean driver’s license.
