We are working with a well established, global business that now has an exciting opportunity for a Maintenance Electrician to join their team! This is a site based role working Monday to Friday on a shift rotation. Our client also offer a generous shift allowance on top of your salary! Alongside your general Technician duties, the main purpose of the role is to provide an electrical maintenance service for all plant, equipment, and services within the Warrington Plant premises. Principal Responsibilities: * Diagnose and rectify all faults of an electrical/electronic nature, using wiring diagrams, manuals, drawings and sketches, for all plant, equipment and services. * Follow electrical planned maintenance programmes. * Initiate and carry out electrical modifications to new and existing plant, equipment and services. * Recondition and rebuild electrical and electronic components, controls and equipment. * Build electronic control equipment using solid state components for new and existing plant, equipment and services. * Utilise and follow the administration control systems of the Maintenance and associated departments in the normal course of employment as an electrician. * Take responsibility for all aspects of work carried out. * Accept job priority instructions from Shift Supervision/Management in the absence of Maintenance Supervision/Management. * Accept training and responsibility for driving powered fork lift vehicles in connection with duties involving the Maintenance Department. * Accept disciplinary control from Shift Supervision/Management, in the absence of Maintenance Supervision/Management. Key skills/experience required: * At least a couple of years of experience in a similar position. * Must be able to read complex electrical wiring diagrams, make working sketches and be able to work following verbal instructions. * Able to use all electrical measuring, testing and calibration equipment provided. * Be conversant with IEE Wiring Regulations. * Competent with PLC control systems.
