We have an exciting opportunity for an EHS Advisor to join Suir Engineering. This position is within our Energy, Renewables & Power sector and will support projects in the North of England, with occasional national cover if required.

What you will be doing:
- Assist the EHS Manager in achieving Suir’s Critical Success Factor 1. “To ensure we are fully compliant in all Health, Safety & Workplace Legislation.”
- Work effectively with the Project Manager and Construction Team on the implementation of the Integrated Management System.
- Ensure the site is adequately set up with a Site‑Specific Construction EHS Plan.
- Become a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in all of Suir’s High Risk Activities (HRAs) and ensure that they are identified and effectively controlled on site.
- Assist with the development of Risk Assessment & Method Statements.
- Assist with the development of SOPs and provide training and communication to site personnel.
- Become familiar with and promote the “Suir Way” and its interfaces with Health & Safety.
- Report and investigate incidents when they occur and ensure root causes are identified, mitigated and communicated.
Is this the job for me?
Suitable candidates must have a relevant Health and Safety Diploma / Degree and a minimum of 2 years’ experience in an Environmental Health and Safety role. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to prioritise workload according to deadlines together with a high attention to detail. Ability to influence colleagues at all levels. Enjoy working as part of a high‑performing team. Experience within EP&R environments is desired but not a must.
