We have an exciting opportunity for an Operations Director to join Suir Engineering. This is a Full-time permanent position and will be based in our office in Hatifled, Waterloo, London. Here in Suir Engineering we are a leading international provider of innovative Mechanical, Electrical and Instrumentation Engineering Solutions. Our core sectors are Energy, Power and Renewables, Pharma, Food & Beverage, and Data Centres. We provide best in class contracting solutions with in-house, flexible resources capable of delivering a personable and consistent service to our customers.
Overall Role Objective: The Operations Director is responsible for managing the current delivery of all regional projects to provide strategic direction to the operations staff and structure and to continuously develop and improve the business. The Operations Director works closely with all Board members to develop the operational performance of the business to maximise delivery effectiveness and operational profitability.
What You Will Be Doing:
- Accountability for the successful delivery of all projects under his/her control.
- Proactively engage with the senior operational team through regular Dashboard reviews to ensure projects are healthy and to intervene appropriately.
- Ensure that the PDS is instilled into the organisation and accountability achieved through regular Gate Reviews.
- Bring appropriate governance to ensure high standards in relation to project design.
- Lead the Health and Safety Agenda.
- Build and develop effective, collaborative working arrangements with all Operational staff and all internal business management and support departments.
- Work seamlessly alongside the commercial/financial director.
- Foster constructive relationships with customers and engender excellent client relations.
- Provide strategic focus and direction to the operations function.
- Position the operational capability of the business to support the growth of the business towards its commercial objectives.
- Develop effective partnering relationships across the support functions to deliver this strategy.
- Development of all current and future operational staff and set and maintain high standards through effective and efficient use of competencies and capability matrices.
- Look continuously to embrace and develop business improvement initiatives.
- Develop Knowledge Sharing to ensure lessons learnt and legacy retention across the whole business.
- Implement a lesson learnt process and share and adapt findings.

- Bachelor's degree required, advanced degree and/or CPA preferred.
- Demonstrated experience in financial management and accounting.
- Experience with audit, legal compliance, and budget development.
