Location: Weymouth, Dorset | Salary: £14 per hour | Job Type: Part Time | Shifts: Waking Nights 20:30pm – 8:30am (Set shifts)

Responsibilities

  • Tracheostomy Care: Monitoring airway, performing suction, and managing emergency equipment.
  • Respiratory Support: Delivering nebulisers, monitoring oxygen saturations, and administering oxygen as required.
  • Enteral Feeding: Managing overnight feed and fluids via gastrostomy (PEG) button.
  • Clinical Observations: Monitoring vital signs, including pulse and oxygen levels, throughout the night.
  • Personal Care: Assisting with pad changes and ensuring comfort and hygiene.
  • Safety & Monitoring: Providing close observation, repositioning, and responding to any changes in the client's condition.

Our service user is non‑verbal and communicates through facial expressions, body language, and noises. The ideal candidate will be patient, observant, and take the time to understand the service user's unique ways of communicating. Our client lives at home with their family, and our team is crucial in providing them with respite and ensuring their safety and well‑being through the night.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 6 months of professional UK Care experience is essential.
  • Complex Care experience (e.g., tracheostomy, PEG) is beneficial, but not mandatory as full training is provided.
  • Must be reliable, proactive, and able to work independently as part of a dedicated night team.
  • Must provide updated Right to Work documents and an original DBS certificate (or application via us).
  • Non‑Smokers required.
