Job Title: Live-In Support Worker - Female

Location: Braintree, Essex

Pay: Β£1,149 per week

Shifts: Live-in (08:00 - 20:00 active hours)

Contract: Live in (2 weeks on 2 weeks off)

Please note: Due to the personal care needs of our clients, this role is open to female applicants only. This is a genuine occupational requirement in accordance with Schedule 9, Paragraph 1 of the Equality Act 2010.

About the Role

As a Live-In Care Assistant, you will provide one-to-one support to a vulnerable person in their home, helping them live safely, independently, and with dignity. You will assist with personal care, companionship, mobility, emotional support, and daily living tasks such as meals and housekeeping.

In this dedicated role, you will provide 2:1 complex care support for an engaging female client in her 50s recovering from a life-changing stroke. She requires compassionate, tailored assistance with mobility (wheelchair user) and nutrition (non-oral feeding support), alongside skilled management for Epilepsy, Arthritis, and Cerebrovascular disease.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing home care and companionship tailored to individual needs
  • Delivering respectful, compassionate personal care (washing, dressing, toileting)
  • Assisting with physical mobility, safe manual handling techniques, and wheelchair transfers
  • Nutritional management, including PEG feeding and specialized nourishment plans (Level 5 diet / Level 2 fluid)
  • Administering medication safely and accurately (full training provided)
  • Supporting complex medical needs (Epilepsy, Arthritis, Cerebrovascular disease) and monitoring symptoms such as pain, numbness, tingling, and sleep disruption
  • Assisting with meals and light housekeeping
  • Monitoring wellbeing, reporting changes, maintaining precise care plans, and communicating updates promptly

Who We're Looking For:

  • A minimum of 6 months of professional UK Care experience
  • Complex Care experience preferred, but not a mandatory need-we provide full specialist training!
  • Valid Right to Work in the UK (we do not offer sponsorship)
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
  • Warm, empathetic, and reliable approach to care delivery
