About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to support a service user with Profound Learning Disabilities and complex clinical needs in their home in Watford. As the service user is bed-bound and non-weight bearing, the role involves high levels of manual handling to prevent pressure sores. You will be assisted by a Care Assistant at all times. We are looking for a long-term candidate who is encouraging, patient, and empathetic.
Key Responsibilities
- Respiratory Support: Close monitoring of ventilation via NIPPY machine and performing suctioning.
- Clinical Care: Managing Tracheostomy, Catheter care, and needs related to Cerebral Palsy and Epilepsy.
- Pressure Care: Frequent manual handling and positioning to maintain skin integrity.
- Medication Management: Administering medication safely and maintaining accurate clinical documentation.
- Monitoring: Continuous observation of the service user's wellbeing throughout the night shift.
You’ll receive full training and additional clinical support to ensure you feel confident in all tasks.
Key Requirements
- Experience: Minimum 1 year of professional UK care experience.
- Qualifications: Valid Nursing degree/diploma and active NMC Pin.
- Records: Up-to-date Immunisation records and a full work history on your CV.
- Right to Work in the UK Compliance: An original Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one).
