Job Title: Healthcare Assistant (Complex Care)

Location: Walsall, WS9

Pay: £12.71 per hour

Shifts:

Contract: Part-time

Please note: Due to the personal care needs of our clients, this role is open to female applicants only. This is a genuine occupational requirement in accordance with Schedule 9, Paragraph 1 of the Equality Act 2010.

About the Role

As a Care Assistant, you'll support vulnerable individuals in their own homes, helping them to live safely, independently, and with dignity. You'll assist with a range of tasks, from personal care to emotional support and everyday activities.

In this rewarding role, you will be supporting a lady with complex needs (Functional Neurological Disorder and PTSD) in her own home environment. The role focuses primarily on providing meaningful companionship to help her engage with daily activities, promote independence, and build life skills. Please note that there are 2 cats in the home, so candidates must be comfortable working around pets.

Full theoretical and practical training to support skills and development (including free clinical and theory training from experienced nurses)

Ongoing support from Office Team, Registered Managers, and Clinical Nursing staff

Weekly pay (PAYE or umbrella options available)

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Personal care (washing, dressing, toileting)
  • Mobility and manual handling support
  • Companionship and emotional support
  • Supporting engagement with daily activities and promoting life skills
  • Maintaining all clinical needs and monitoring vitals (with full training provided)
  • Medication support (where trained)
  • Following care plans, maintaining accurate records, and reporting changes or concerns to the care team
  • Ensuring a safe, respectful, and person-centred environment at all times

Who We're Looking For

  • A minimum of 6 months of professional UK Care experience.
  • Complex Care experience preferred, but not a mandatory need.
  • Must have the Right to Work in the UK with correct documentation.
  • Full enhanced DBS certificate (or willingness to obtain one).
  • An up-to-date CV with a full work history.
  • A compassionate nature with strong companionship skills, comfortable working alongside animals, and able to maintain professional boundaries.
