Rate of Pay: £15.00 per hour / Sleep-in at rate £10.42/h

Shifts: 12-hour shifts (08:00-20:00 Days / 20:00-08:00 Waking Nights) and Long Days (08:00-23:00 + Sleep-in)

About the Role

We are currently recruiting a large team of Support Workers to provide 3:1 support for an energetic young man moving to York. This is a unique, high-energy role; our service user is a massive sports fan who loves being active. You will be heading out most days to engage in activities such as rugby, tennis, and long walks.

Key responsibilities may include:

  • Engaging in and supporting daily sporting activities (Tennis, Rugby, Walking)
  • Facilitating community access and social inclusion
  • Supporting with daily living tasks and personal care
  • Maintaining a high level of engagement during 12-hour day or waking night shifts
  • Maintaining accurate records and reporting any concerns to the care team

Key Requirements

  • Ideally be a driver not necessary
  • Must be fit and active enough to participate in sports daily
  • Minimum 6 months of professional care experience
  • Potential requirement to attend "shadow shifts" in Birmingham prior to the York start date
  • Right to work in the UK (We do not offer sponsorship)
  • Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
  • Up-to-date CV with full work history
