About the Role
We are seeking a compassionate and patient SEN Teaching Assistant to support an 8-year-old student with Autism Spectrum Disorder and global developmental delays. This is a 2:1 home-based tutoring provision, supporting a young person who is non-verbal, requires continuous supervision, and benefits from a calm, structured, sensory-aware approach. You will help the student engage in simple learning routines, develop early communication, build trust with familiar adults, and regulate through preferred sensory activities.

Responsibilities
- Work with teachers to create tailored teaching plans
- Support re-engagement with learning in a positive, non-judgmental environment
- Use creative strategies to manage behaviour and promote wellbeing
- Provide tailored support for speech, language, and communication needs
- Complete daily risk assessments and communicate with the team
