Shifts: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM working day with standard live-in evening/overnight presence.

Contract: Live-in position; 2-3 weeks (depends on your preference).

Please note: Due to the personal care needs of our clients, this role is open to female applicants only. This is a genuine occupational requirement in accordance with Schedule 9, Paragraph 1 of the Equality Act 2010.

About the Role

As a Live-In Care Assistant, you will provide one-to-one support to a vulnerable person in their home, helping them live safely, independently, and with dignity. You will assist with personal care, companionship, mobility, emotional support, and daily living tasks such as meals and housekeeping.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing 24/7 home care and companionship tailored to individual needs.
  • Supporting complex personal care, full mobility transfers, and safe use of specialized moving and handling equipment.
  • Assisting with home exercises as prescribed by the service user's physiotherapist.
  • Managing and monitoring critical clinical conditions, including Autonomic Dysreflexia and unpredictable muscle spasms in all four limbs.
  • Managing catheter care.
  • Assisting with meals, medication administration, and light housekeeping.
  • Coordinating with healthcare professionals.
  • Monitoring overall wellbeing, reporting health changes immediately, and keeping highly accurate daily care records.
  • Supporting emotional wellbeing, morning and evening routines, and social outings in the local community.

Who We're Looking For

  • A minimum of 6 months of professional UK Care experience (Essential).
  • Prior experience with Complex Care (Spinal Cord Injury, Stroke, or Autonomic Dysreflexia management).
  • Compassionate, observant individuals with strong communication skills.
  • Knowledge of No Known Drug Allergies (NKDA) guidelines and safe medication handling.
