About the Role

Sugarman Health & Wellbeing are recruiting Care Assistants to support our service user in the Devizes area. Full training and competency sign‑off will be provided for Medicine Management (including subcutaneous injections), Epilepsy, Stroke monitoring, and Type 2 Diabetes.

We are looking for care assistants who are outgoing, enthusiastic, patient and empathetic. Our service user enjoys engaging in conversation and building positive, long‑term relationships with their carers. They have achieved a great deal in life, including completing A Levels and University while battling cancer, and have volunteered extensively to support others. Due to ongoing health challenges, they now require consistent support from carers who are proactive, resilient, and compassionate.

The role involves high levels of manual handling, including assisting with community outings and pushing a wheelchair, so being physically capable is important. A full UK driving licence is essential, as you will drive the service user's vehicle when accessing the community.

Our service user enjoys still‑life photography and cooking, and would welcome support in exploring local activities and preparing nutritious meals. Bringing new ideas and activities will help improve their wellbeing and strengthen the carer-service user bond.

Benefits

  • Theoretical and Practical training is provided to ensure you have the correct skills and give yourself the opportunity to upskill yourself in the sector.
  • Career development opportunities.
  • Ongoing support from our Office Team, Registered Managers and Clinical Nurses.
  • Weekly Pay via PAYE or Umbrella Schemes.
  • Enhanced pay on Bank Holidays.
