About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Healthcare Assistant to support a client living with Motor Neurone Disease in their own home in South Croydon. You will be working as part of a dedicated team on a 2:1 basis, ensuring the highest standard of clinical and emotional support.

Service User‑Specific Information

The client has two young children (aged 5 and 7), so we are looking for someone who is energetic, engaging, and comfortable in a family‑oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Tracheostomy Care
  • Complex Manual Handling
  • Suctioning and Cough Assist
  • PEG feeding, Ventilator, and Nebulizer management
  • Supporting non‑verbal communication via eye‑gaze technology
  • Personal and pressure area care
  • Supporting daily routines and emotional wellbeing

You’ll receive full training and undertake shadow shifts to ensure you feel confident and well prepared.

Key Requirements

  • Tech‑savvy and comfortable with computers/home technology.
  • Minimum 6 months of professional care experience.
  • Right to work in the UK and Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one).
