Shifts: Days: 08:00-20:00 , Nights: 20:00-08:00 , Sleep-ins: 10pm-7am

Pay Rate: Days:£15p/h , Nights: 16p/h , Sleep-in: £9.50 p/h

About the Role

Sugarman Health and Wellbeing seeks a Care Assistant to support a young male adult with complex clinical needs, including tracheostomy, PEG feeding, reduced vision, profound hearing loss, a learning disability andOCD behaviours.

He thrives in calm, predictable environments and enjoys structured, familiar activities such as travelling on trains and observing traffic lights. He can become distressed in situations that feel unpredictable and benefits greatly from routine, reassurance, and consistent support.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Provide tracheostomy care (full training provided)
• Perform PEG feeding and feeding pump setup
• Support with tracheal suctioning, nebulisers & airway management
• Monitor vital signs and respiratory health
• Support behavioural needs, routines & emotional regulation
• Use bespoke BSL communication (training provided)
• Assist with personal care & daily activities
• Accompany the service user on community outings (he loves buses & trains!)
• Maintain emergency equipment bags during all shifts

Who We\’re Looking For

We\’re looking for individuals who are compassionate, reliable, and committed to delivering high-quality care. Ideally, you will have:

• Experience in care (complex care preferred but not essential)
• Willingness to learn tracheostomy & PEG competencies
• Driver required (essential)
• Comfortable with structure, routine and clinical responsibilities
