About the Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen to support a client within their own home who has complex needs. This client has a spinal cord injury, and you will be supporting them to live an active and fulfilling life. Each day begins with a personal‑care routine, including hoisting and bowel management which requires you to be physically fit to support safely and confidently. Once the morning routine is completed, your support will continue throughout the day with a range of daily living tasks. This includes assisting with domestic duties in the home, helping with meal preparation, and accompanying the client to appointments, family commitments, and social engagements. As the client is active in the community every day, you can expect a varied and dynamic working environment where no two days are the same. To deliver this level of support effectively, you will need strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills, as well as the ability to drive, since the client undertakes weekly visits that require travel.

Please note that this vacancy is only open to female applicants due to the personal care required for a vulnerable individual as permitted under the Equality Act 2010.

Who We’re Looking For

  • A minimum of 6 months of professional UK Care experience.
  • Complex Care experience preferred, but not a mandatory need.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
