We\’re seeking a proactive and practical individual to join a leading production business on the outskirts of Grantham as a Machine Repair Technician. You\’ll play a key role in keeping production machinery running smoothly, carrying out routine maintenance, minor mechanical repairs, and monitoring operational efficiency.
Full training and ongoing career development are offered for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out routine maintenance and minor repairs on production equipment.
- Operate and calibrate product treatment lines, ensuring safe and accurate chemical application.
- Monitor and adjust equipment settings to maintain optimal processing conditions and minimise downtime.
- Identify and troubleshoot basic mechanical faults, escalating more complex issues to the Plant Manager.
- Keep accurate records of repairs, calibrations, chemical usage, and cleaning, in line with certification and health & safety requirements.
What We\’re Looking For:
- Basic mechanical and engineering skills, with experience in operating or maintaining machinery.
- A practical mindset with the ability to follow technical procedures accurately.
- Good problem-solving ability and initiative when handling mechanical issues.
- Forklift Truck (FLT) experience is desirable but not essential.
