A permanent live in Housekeeper is required for a busy High Profile Household near Chipping Norton. The candidate must have previous experience handling laundry β including designer items and have excellent ironing skills. Duties will include housekeeping to a high standard and laundry management (hand washing, arranging items for dry cleaning, ironing, wardrobe management).
The candidate must be happy to work well within a team and be able to take instruction, but must also be able to work independently. The candidate must like dogs and children as they will be working around them all the time.
The accommodation is suitable only for a single person, with no pets. The candidate should have their own car as the location is rural. The candidate must enjoy living in the countryside.
Days and hours: Wednesday β Sunday 8am β 5pm β it is essential the candidate is happy to work weekends and have Mondays and Tuesdays off.
Duties include, but not limited to:
Full laundry β ironing, hand washing, organising items to be sent and collected from dry cleaner, washing, wardrobe management (putting away clothes), mending items β it is absolutely essential the candidate is confident with this, including handling fine fabrics and designer items
Full Housekeeping of 5 bedroom property with outbuildings, working within a team β a high standard of cleaning is required β must be thorough
Friendly attitude, but discretion is paramount
Ability to work well in a team, be friendly and able to get on with the job quickly and efficiently is essential
This is a salaried position, on a payroll with holiday allowance and pension contributions. In the accommodation, no bills are payable. Salary depends on live in/live out and experience. It is essential the candidate has worked in a busy private home before doing laundry and ironing, working to a high standard.
