Sugarbird Wines is a vibrant wine retailer with two wine bars based in Aberdeen, Scotland. With a specialised focus on South African wines, we are known for our curated selection of exceptional wines. Our mission is to bring the unique flavours from vineyards across the world to wine lovers in our local community, offering a one-of-a-kind shopping and tasting experience in-store and beyond.
We are now looking for a Full-Time Assistant Manager to join our dynamic team, with a focus on customer experience, team direction, and property management. As a key member of our team, your role will include:
- Day-to-day running of our city centre wine bar (5 days per week, 2 days off)
- Stock receiving and control
- Cash up and banking
- Employee management and training
- Revenue growth and product development
- Reporting and presentations
- Quality, health and safety controls
- Adherence to relevant licensing laws, operation plan and public health and safety
Qualifications
We're looking for individuals who possess the following qualities:
- Personal Licence essential
- Interest in Wines of the World and/or WSET qualification
- Previous hospitality management and or retail management experience essential
- Excellent communication skills
- 100% customer focus mentality
- Proven leadership and team management capabilities
- Ability to solve problems effectively
- Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: £14.63 per hour
