About SugarAI UK Limited. SugarAI is redefining CRM for the age of AI. We’re delivering on the original promise of CRM—turning fragmented customer and revenue signals into clear, prioritized action. Instead of more dashboards or surface-level insights, we help teams focus on what matters most and know exactly what to do next. More than two decades after our founding, we’re entering a new chapter with clarity and momentum—building intelligent, intuitive solutions that work within the flow of how teams actually sell and serve. We’re focused on solving complex, real-world challenges where relationships, context, and precision make all the difference. Our global team is united by a shared commitment to impact, ownership, and continuous growth. We create an environment where thoughtful ideas move quickly, where people are trusted to lead, and where flexibility supports how great work gets done. If you’re excited to help shape what’s next in AI-driven CRM—and build technology that drives real outcomes—we’d love to meet you.

Where You Fit In:

SugarAI is looking for a customer-facing, hands-on technologist to join our Solution Consulting team in EMEA. Drawing on deep CRM/CX market knowledge and an in-depth understanding of SugarAI’s platform architecture and capabilities, you’ll uncover customer business objectives, scope and present the product vision, and own the solution/technical side of the sales cycle – showing how SugarAI drives real business outcomes.

You’ll be the resident SugarAI expert for both our internal and extended (reseller/partner) sales teams. Success in this role calls for strong customer interaction and presentation skills, a solid grasp of enterprise software solutions and how they integrate, and the ability to work closely with sales and professional services teams.

This role operates on a hybrid model, with a mix of remote work and in-office collaboration at our London location, specifically, working in-office a minimum of 2 days per week.

Impact You'll Make:

  • Act as a strategic technical and commercial partner to Sales, Customer Success, and Partners – shaping deal strategy and translating customer challenges into compelling solution outcomes.
  • Own the pre-sales cycle end-to-end: discovery, qualification, value-based demonstrations, technical validation, solution design, RFP/Tender responses, and handoff to delivery teams.
  • Show customers how AI, customer data, and intelligent workflows can transform sales execution, productivity, and decision-making – connecting SugarAI capabilities directly to their business priorities.
  • Proactively identify technical and commercial risks within opportunities and work cross-functionally to remove barriers to a successful close.
  • Enable EMEA direct and reseller/channel partners to confidently position, demonstrate, and sell SugarAI, including hands-on sales and demo training alongside the Training team.
  • Serve as the go-to SugarAI product expert, providing ongoing application support to inside, channel, and direct sales teams.
  • Champion CRM best practices and SugarAI’s extensibility, translating business requirements into a compelling platform vision.
  • Track emerging AI and enterprise technology trends, bringing fresh ideas into customer conversations and the wider EMEA organization.
  • Represent SugarAI externally – speaking at trade conferences and supporting product marketing and promotion.
  • Partner with Marketing and Sales to keep demo toolkits and sales collateral current, and maintain key partner relationships.

What You'll Bring:

  • 5+ years in pre-sales or a similar customer facing technical role, with a proven track record engaging C-level stakeholders.
  • SaaS solution sales/configuration experience and a solid understanding of technical systems architecture, stacks, and platforms.
  • Strong commercial acumen and is able to connect technical capabilities to measurable business outcomes, not just demonstrate product functionality.
  • A consultative mindset and the confidence to engage stakeholders from end users through to C-level executives.
  • Solid knowledge of enterprise business applications (CRM, ERP, APIs, integrations, cloud platforms, data architecture) and RFP/Tender best practices.
  • Practical understanding of Generative AI, LLMs, conversational AI, and AI-assisted/agentic workflows, with the curiosity to keep experimenting with emerging technology.
  • Excellent communication, listening, presentation, and objection-handling skills, with the ability to simplify complex concepts through storytelling and demonstration.
  • Strong teamwork, integrity, self-motivation, and a positive attitude.
  • Outstanding planning and time management, with the ability to juggle competing priorities across direct sales, expansion, and partner-led opportunities.
  • Comfortable working across local and remote teams and time zones, with willingness to travel up to 40%.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Marketing Automation experience.
  • Business Analytics exposure.
  • Experience in a Solutions Consulting, Sales Engineering, Pre-Sales or similar customer-facing technical role within enterprise SaaS.
  • Experience supporting complex B2B software sales cycles involving multiple stakeholders and technical requirements.
  • Experience with CRM and/or ERP ecosystems and the integration of customer, sales and operational data.
  • Experience within manufacturing, distribution, wholesale or other complex relationship-driven industries would be advantageous.
  • Experience working within a partner/channel ecosystem and supporting partner-led opportunities.
  • Experience operating across multiple countries or within a geographically diverse EMEA commercial organisation.
  • Hands-on experience configuring, prototyping or demonstrating AI-powered enterprise applications, including Generative AI, conversational AI, predictive intelligence or agentic workflows.
  • Additional European language capability.

We want you to learn new things in this role, and we encourage you to apply if your experience is close to what we’re looking for. We also know that diversity of background and thought makes for better problem solving and more creative thinking, which is why we're dedicated to adding new perspectives to the team.

  • Private medical and dental insurance
  • Health & Wellness Reimbursement Program
  • Unpaid sabbatical leave
  • Educational Resources - Career & Personal Development Program
  • Various discount programs (i.e. travel, virtual exercises classes, etc.)

How to prepare for a job interview at SugarAI

Brush Up on Your Coding Skills

For a full-time software engineering role, it's crucial that we stay sharp with our coding abilities. Expect technical questions that might involve solving problems on the spot or discussing algorithms. Practise on platforms like LeetCode or HackerRank to get comfortable with the types of questions that often come up.

Know Your Tools and Frameworks

Make sure we’re well-acquainted with the tools and technologies listed in the job description. Familiarise ourselves with any specific frameworks or programming languages mentioned. If SugarAI uses React or Node.js, for instance, be ready to discuss how we’ve used them in previous projects or coursework.

Showcase Your Projects

Bring along a portfolio that highlights our best work. This could be code samples, GitHub repositories, or any side projects we’ve built. Make sure we can talk through our thought process for each project, especially the challenges we faced and how we solved them—this shows our problem-solving skills in action.

Prepare for Behavioural Questions

While technical skills are key, full-time positions also require cultural fit. Be ready to discuss our previous experiences and how we handle teamwork, conflict, and deadlines. Brush up on the STAR method—Situation, Task, Action, Result—to clearly articulate our past experiences when discussing how we've contributed to a team.
