Day to Day Responsibilities
Teammate Interaction – work alongside folks like Project Manager, Coordinators, UX / UI Designers and other friendly Dev's as part of a larger team.
- Design, build and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable Laravel applications.
- Develop and integrate RESTful APIs and third-party services.
- Deployment of applications & services
- Write clean, well-documented, and testable code following best practices.
- Collaborate with front-end developers to ensure seamless integration between systems.
- Participate in code reviews, daily stand-ups, and sprint planning sessions.
- Optimise applications for maximum speed, scalability, and security.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing applications.
- Contribute to architectural decisions and technical planning.
- Must Have's
- 3+ years of professional experience using Laravel
- Strong understanding of MVC architecture , ORMs (Eloquent) , and service containers .
- Experience with My SQL databases, including schema design and query optimisation.
- Solid understanding of API development (REST, JSON).
- Proficient in Git and modern version control workflows (Git Hub/Bitbucket).
- Experience with queuing systems (e. g. Laravel Queues, Redis, Rabbit MQ).
- Familiarity with containerisationand deployment processes.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, especially when working in hybrid teams.
- Experience with AWS / Azure / Digital Ocean or other cloud platforms.
- Knowledge of front-end frameworks (e. g. Blade, React) for API integration.
- Contributions to open-source projects or involvement in the Laravel community.
- Working knowledge of unit testing and automated testing tools
