Volunteer Receptionist on Monday afternoons 2pm – 4.30pm

This is a fast-paced role welcoming visitors to our busy advice service.

You\’ll be part of a team of dedicated and friendly staff and volunteers.

Please note, this role requires going up and down stairs.

Tasks

  • Greeting people at the door
  • Answering the phone
  • Taking and passing on messages
  • Making appointments
  • Updating details on the database
  • Helping out with general admin duties

Skills

  • Calm and welcoming
  • Able to input data accurately
  • A good level of spoken and written English
  • Lived experience of the asylum system or refugee resettlement is desirable but not essential
  • Knowledge of the asylum system helpful but not essential
  • A second language helpful but not essential

Availability

This is a weekly role on Monday afternoons.

Expenses

You can claim up to £10 per day travel expenses.
